Often referred to as a double handed chishi stone the Ishi Chishi shown above weighs around 50lbs or 23 kgs.

The Ishi Chishi is used in various ways to help develop all the major muscle groups of the body. Some of the exercises performed have similarities ro those performed with the Tan, although the Tan also allows a wider range of partner work more difficult to achieve with the Ishi Chishi. Exercises can be performed coventionally. with palms up, up with the palms facing down to place additional emphasis on the forearm muscles as well as the biceps
